What Should I Expect from the Relationship Bootcamp?
You will learn essential skills from Relational Life Therapy (RLT)
RLT is the radically effective approach to relationship therapy created by internationally-recognized therapist and bestselling author, Terry Real. RLT is known for its ability to spark profound, lasting change in individuals and their relationships, and these skills will help you build and sustain meaningful connections.
You will learn through a combination of lecture, small group exercises, and personal reflections.
Julie & Eric give personalized attention to support your learning and growth. (Pass rule is always in effect!)
Do I Need This?
Why spend a weekend on your relationship?
We all want deeply satisfying relationships, but sometimes it feels like we're stuck in patterns that hold us back. I may be biased (I am!) but I believe deeply in the importance of our intimate relationships.
In fact, research shows that the quality of our closest relationships can even predict our longevity.
We know that relationships take work, but few of us know what that work actually is…
The real work of relationships isn’t occasional, it’s minute-to-minute.
And this workshop will teach you those critical minute-to-minute skills that build and sustain true intimacy.
Designed to help participants make significant progress in a short amount of time, in an intimate setting (max of 24 participants), and with expert guidance from Eric & I, who have trained with Terry Real, the founder of Relational Life Therapy (RLT), we help you to make meaningful change. Relational Life Therapy is a practice that uses a range of powerful diagnostic and transformative tools to help people to first reconnect to themselves in order to build a stronger, more intimate connection with their partner.
Is it magic and will it solve every issue? No, but, as past participants have shared, it can be life-changing and revolutionary for your personal life and relationships.
Julie Rudiger, LCSW
I have been a licensed therapist since 1993 and was introduced to Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy in 2008. I became certified in 2010, and since then, my practice and personal life has transformed. I love the value of Full Respect Living, which is the tenant of RLT. Teaching clients and therapists the model remains the central focus of my practice. I love the role of “coach” in teaching the skills. Most couples and individuals just need the education and tools to better care for themselves and their partners and families. I am also co-leader of the Relationship Boot Camp in Denver, whereby we help individuals and couples learn the skills in a 2 day intensive workshop.
Eric Crowley, LMFT
My journey in the field of mental health began in 1988, serving as a Psychiatric Specialist in the U.S. Army. During that time, I had the honor of working directly with active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Since then, I’ve dedicated decades to supporting individuals navigating all forms of addiction — an experience that profoundly shaped my understanding of healing and recovery.
One truth became clear along the way: to truly heal from addiction and trauma, we must learn how to build healthy, connected relationships — not only with others, but also with ourselves.
When I first encountered Relational Life Therapy (RLT), it felt like coming home. RLT offers a clear, compassionate, and transformative framework that deeply aligns with my values and clinical experience. It provides the tools I had long been searching for — tools that help clients not just heal but truly thrive in their relationships.
As a Relationship Boot Camp co-facilitator, I view my role as a coach and teacher. One of the things I love about RLT is that the therapist is also in Relational Recovery. I practice the skills in my own relationship and report back from the front lines about what has and has not worked for me with humor, and authenticity.

“Intimacy isn’t something you have, it’s something you do. And you can learn to do it better.”

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is Terry Real’s radical approach to couples therapy that breaks many of the rules of traditional couples therapy.
Notably, RLT emphasizes the importance of people learning the ongoing skills they need to nurture and cherish their relationships long after their time in therapy is over. It’s these core skills you will learn in the Relationship Bootcamp to help you create meaningful relationships and keep the spark alive.

The primary focus is for you to learn the essential skills of relationality and identify how you show up in the relationship. You can share as little or as much as you wish about yourself and how you, personally, relate.
-
The weekend bootcamp is appropriate for all couples-from new relationships to couples married for many years. The only thing we ask is that you both come committed to being open minded to doing the work in the bootcamp.
